On 6 April 2026, Qanot Sharq Airlines had the honour of meeting with His Excellency Jonathan Henick, Ambassador of the United States to Uzbekistan, and Mr. Daniel Rakove, Chief of the Economic and Commercial Unit, during a business lunch held at the Swissôtel in Tashkent.

The meeting brought together representatives of Qanot Sharq Airlines, including Mr. Nosir Abdugafarov (Owner), Mr. Amal Yunusov (PR Manager), Mr. Jakhongir Rustamov (Chief Safety Inspector), Mr. Aleksey Perkov (Commercial Director), and Mr. Timur Perkov (Business Development Executive).

The discussion was constructive and forward-looking, focusing on the development of aviation connectivity between Uzbekistan and the United States. We highly appreciate the valuable insights and guidance received in light of our preparations for launching flights from Tashkent to the United States.

Qanot Sharq Airlines remains committed to strengthening international ties and expanding its global network. The future launch of direct services to the United States will represent a significant milestone — positioning the airline among a limited number of carriers in Central Asia connecting the region with North America, while offering passengers greater accessibility, flexibility, and choice.
